A rather lovely 19th C. Oak and Pine Carpenters Workbench.  Probably made by the carpenter themselves using timber that was available at the time.  The main frame and top being Pine and the lower shelf being Oak.  The large vice is still in good working order and the whole piece, despite the wear and tear is very sturdy.
This rustic and functional piece of furniture would now look wonderful in a kitchen, in fact, the small compartments to the right hand side are the perfect size to hold a bottle of wine and the lower shelf provides storage space for the pots and pans.
