A large Victorian Milk Pail with iron handle and brass hinge and an inner brass rail on which a ladle would have hung.  These were once supplied by dairies so people could collect their milk and cream and quite often they would be stamped with the name of the supplier and also the address of the customer.
This larger pail is a great decorative storage item and could even be used to keep firelighters in and stand by the fireplace.
With wear etc. as would be expected from age and use
